About the position

The Project Manager will lead the Implementation team at SPS Commerce, overseeing the implementation of cloud-based supply chain management solutions for retail trading partners. This role requires strong organizational skills, strategic thinking, and emotional intelligence to ensure project delivery meets quality standards and results in positive customer outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day project tasks for implementing SPS Commerce Products and Services from close of sale through handoff to customer support.
  • Manage 15-20 projects concurrently, overseeing the implementation of SPS Commerce's services and products from post-sale through customer support handoff.
  • Create and maintain project work schedules, track customer requirements and translate customer requests into project deliverables.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in service delivery while managing multiple projects.
  • Monitor work-flow requirements to meet timelines and quality expectations.
  • Advocate for positive change and improvement within the organization by identifying and communicating the compelling needs for change/improvement.
  • Work closely with internal teams and external clients, ensuring business perspective alignment and positive customer outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of project management experience
  • Strong problem solving & analytic ability
  • Experience managing projects using Jira and Smartsheet; familiarity with MS Project and Confluence
  • Quality-focused; detail-oriented; ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects
  • Excellent communication skills; able to lead client-facing discussions with a customer-centric mindset.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience developing processes and managing projects in a technology-based service organization
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and achieve goals without direct authority over personnel
  • Change management experience, especially in ERP/WMS systems
  • Customer-facing role requires strong communication skills and strategic thinking
  • Experience in retail, supply chain, or SaaS environments, understanding the life cycle and intricacies of these industries
  • Experience working in SaaS companies, especially with high project volumes and customer implementations.
