About the position
The Project Manager will provide Project Management support for the University of Iowa Health Care community, ensuring that projects are delivered within budget, on schedule, and according to scope. This role involves working with various stakeholders to analyze project requirements, develop implementation strategies, and oversee the project management lifecycle, particularly focusing on the implementation of a new Radiology Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACs).
Responsibilities
- Develop the project charter, scope, schedule, budget, and plan.
- Assemble the project team and manage team performance.
- Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to timelines, resources, and costs.
- Manage communication across all stakeholders.
- Deliver regular status reports to sponsors and stakeholders.
- Escalate issues and risks to the project sponsor.
- Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in IT project management, particularly in healthcare delivery.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- PMP or similar certification.
Nice-to-haves
- 4 years of experience with Waterfall methodology (Preferred).
- 5 years of experience in a healthcare setting (Preferred).
- 5 years of experience with Project Management Software (Preferred).
