About the position

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the construction of a large industrial manufacturing facility for a key technology client. This role is pivotal in ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Project Manager will be responsible for interfacing with clients and other consultants at all stages of the project, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, capable of taking the initiative and driving activities with limited supervision, and will have a strong background in the construction industry. The Project Manager will oversee financial management, ensuring prompt client invoicing and utilizing financial systems to monitor the project's financial status. This includes project planning, producing detailed project plans, and applying performance management techniques to monitor progress. The role also involves managing the change control process and ensuring that project information flows smoothly between the team and the client through regular meetings and written communications. The Project Manager will prepare formal project budget progress reports and ensure compliance with quality standards throughout the project. In addition to these responsibilities, the Project Manager will work on constructing proposals for new work or variations for existing projects, identifying opportunities to improve project management procedures, and ensuring that quality, safety, health, and environmental issues are addressed. Establishing effective project governance, processes, and systems is also a key aspect of this role, along with general line management responsibilities where appropriate. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality project management services across the full project lifecycle and will be able to advise at a strategic level during the project conception stage.

Responsibilities

  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality project management services across the full project lifecycle.
  • Ability to advise at a strategic level during the project conception stage.
  • Great time management skills to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on time.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with clients and cross-functional team members.
  • Experience working as an effective team member within the context of delivering a specific commission.
  • Business development experience with existing and new clients.
