About the position
The Project Manager in Information Services and Technology at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center is responsible for establishing and implementing best practices for IT project management across the organization. This role involves defining project lifecycles, documenting policies and processes, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. The Project Manager will also develop methodologies for key performance metrics and resource allocation.
Responsibilities
- Establish, implement, and control best practices for IT project management.
- Define and document all policies and processes of project lifecycles.
- Deliver projects according to plan and within budget.
- Create formal methodologies for defining project key performance metrics.
- Allocate resources effectively for project execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration, or a related field required; experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
- Master's degree in a related field preferred.
- PMP certification required.
- 3+ years of direct work experience in IT project management.
- 3 years of direct experience in software development and supervision.
- Strong familiarity with project management software, such as Microsoft Project.
- Strong familiarity with financial software or systems, such as Lawson.
- Experience in developing and deploying project best practices, policies, procedures, and processes.
- Demonstrated experience in personnel management.
