About the position

The Project Manager, Infrastructure role at World Wide Technology (WWT) is a contract position focused on managing IT infrastructure projects across multiple sites. The individual will be responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. This position requires strong leadership skills, effective communication, and the ability to manage risks and stakeholder expectations in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire project lifecycle from initiation to closure.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure that project deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Identify and manage project risks and issues.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
  • Manage project scope, change requests, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Ensure that project documentation is complete, accurate, and up-to-date.
  • Manage project resources, including staff, contractors, and vendors.
  • Ensure that project team members are aware of their roles and responsibilities.
  • Foster a positive team environment and promote teamwork.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, IT, or related field preferred.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
  • Minimum 2 years of IT Project Management experience.
  • Experience in a Professional Services environment.
  • Experience managing key project financial components (cost and revenue) to ensure projects are delivered within budget.
  • Experience managing projects with over 100 sites spanning the world.
  • Expertise in creating and managing a detailed project plan including variances, baselines, predecessors/successors, and critical path.
  • Experience managing risks and issues, working with owners to drive mitigation or resolution, escalating when necessary.
  • Experience with 3rd party partner lead deployments as the project manager.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once with varied infrastructure technologies.
  • Excellent internal and customer-facing written and verbal communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Comfortable with difficult conversations and conflict management.
