About the position

The Project Manager: Inventory and Operations role is essential for coordinating logistics and operations within a bespoke interior design business. This position focuses on managing inventory, vendor relations, and ensuring smooth project progression from order to installation. The role offers opportunities for career advancement and requires strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee projects at various stages, ensuring seamless coordination.
  • Manage inventory, both virtually and physically, keeping the warehouse running smoothly.
  • Prepare materials and communicate product details to the installation team.
  • Collaborate with vendors and logistics partners to manage orders, deliveries, and schedules.
  • Assist with installation scheduling and address any challenges that arise.
  • Keep Salesforce, Smartsheet, and vendor portals current with project status and details.
  • Ensure projects stay on track by facilitating clear communication among all involved parties.
  • Occasionally visit project sites to assist with installations and deliveries (mileage reimbursed).
  • Handle repair requests and schedule service calls as needed.
  • Provide coverage in the showroom when required.

Requirements

  • Experience in operations management.
  • Strong vendor management skills.

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and ERP systems.
  • Project coordination experience in a mid-level role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Smartsheet.

  • Effective communication skills.
