About the position

The Project Manager (IT-IA-IM Program/Project Manager Level II) at AT&T Government Solutions is responsible for overseeing and managing IT projects within the National Security Sector. This role involves ensuring that network service delivery objectives are met through effective communication, coordination, and analysis of customer requirements. The Project Manager will work closely with various teams to facilitate project execution, manage risks, and ensure that deliverables align with customer needs and budget constraints.

Responsibilities

  • Review, analyze, and provide recommendations for Request for Change (RFC) requirements.
  • Evaluate customer requirements to ensure clarity of requested network service needs.
  • Provide network systems engineering assessment based on defined network standard requirements.
  • Coordinate across multiple network service teams to assess network technical requirements.
  • Provide cost and schedule impacts based on established models and negotiate technical trade-offs.
  • Collaborate with team members to support process workflows and engineering review boards.
  • Ensure the conversion of customer requirements into total systems solutions considering technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, cost estimation, and requirements allocation.
  • Prepare required documentation including program- and user-level documentation.
  • Construct business improvement opportunities consistent with customer guidance and cost savings.
  • Analyze and study complex system requirements.
  • Work directly with Task Lead and PjMs to ensure deliverables fall within scope and budget.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for project execution.
  • Assist in the development of detailed project plans and monitor progress.
  • Prepare project status reports and identify courses of action to remove roadblocks.
  • Work with PjMs to identify/mitigate risks, issues, and opportunities.
  • Provide support in technical writing and editing of documents.
  • Maintain correspondence suspense files and compose correspondence.

Requirements

  • 10 years of experience in a professional office setting, which can be a combination of work history and education.
  • Solid organizational skills including attention-to-detail and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow or similar ITSM.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced knowledge of Network IT infrastructure (network connectivity, switches, routers).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
  • Demonstrated client-facing and internal communications skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Visio.
  • Experience using Atlassian Confluence and HelpNow/ServiceNow.
