About the position

The Project Manager IT III role at Signet Jewelers involves supporting the IT Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) governance and processes for all IT projects. The position focuses on enhancing project visibility, ensuring timely and quality deliverables, and collaborating with various teams to manage medium to large-sized projects effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and administer the project demand intake, review and approval processes for all IT projects.
  • Define the scope of the IT PPM processes and projects in collaboration with the IT PMO Team.
  • Ensure project approval process flow and required checkpoints are met on all IT projects.
  • Prepare meeting materials, outlines, presentations, reports, spreadsheets, and other project information.
  • Coordinate & schedule meetings, conference calls, and events as needed.
  • Analyze existing ITPMO processes and suggest and implement improvements through collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project.
  • Review the project schedule with senior project managers and all other staff affected by the project activities; revise the schedule as required.
  • Collaborate with various business and IT teams to complete project onboarding activities.
  • Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget, and at the required level of quality.
  • Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase.
  • Conduct project closure activities to include final reporting, lessons learned, knowledge transfer, and project documentation.
  • Document risks and issues; maintain, track, and monitor risk issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • PMP Certification is a plus.
  • 8+ years of related experience.
  • Experience in project management, from conception to delivery.
