About the position

The Project Manager - IT - Mastery role is focused on overseeing large IT programs or portfolios within the financial services and insurance industry. The position requires a strong background in project management methodologies, particularly PMBOK and Agile, to ensure successful project delivery and vendor management. The role is onsite in Springfield, MA, and is expected to last for over 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Manage large-sized IT programs or portfolios
• Oversee vendor management and contract negotiations
• Ensure adherence to project management methodologies
• Maintain program/portfolio budget and financial acumen
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure project alignment and success

Requirements

• PMP certification or similar
• Fluent with PMBOK methodology
• Experience with Agile methodologies; CSM preferred but not required
• Strong background in project management tools such as MS Office Project, Excel, Word, and Outlook
• 3-5 years of experience in the financial services/insurance industry
• 4+ years of IT experience managing large IT programs or portfolios
• 2+ years of vendor management and contract negotiations experience
• Strong financial acumen in managing program/portfolio budgets
