About the position

The Project Manager - IT & Processes at Lufthansa Technik North America is responsible for managing IT projects efficiently, ensuring the successful transfer of IT capabilities into routine operations. This role involves optimizing business processes, particularly through the development of the current ERP system and other BI solutions, while also maintaining effective communication with various business units.

Responsibilities

  • Managing IT-Projects and vendors to ensure timely and cost efficient implementation
  • Optimization of business processes through further developments of the current ERP System (Southware) and other BI solutions
  • Performing workshops to define processes and system requirements
  • Creating business requirements documents for the IT-Provider
  • Adapting enhancements from LHT to LTCS and vice versa
  • IT-Cost controlling and reporting
  • Communicating with the corresponding interfaces in HAM or other involved Business units
  • Process documentation according to instruction and procedures
  • Supporting, cooperating, and communicating with all colleagues
  • All other duties as assigned or required

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent work experience
  • Master's degree desirable
  • 2 years of experience in Project Management / IT, experience in ERP / Software / Application Development required
  • Fluency in English language required
  • German language desirable
  • Knowledge in aviation MRO, repair processes, IT and business intelligence required
  • Knowledge in ERP systems, data warehouses, and/or SQL server desirable
  • MS Office as expert especially MS EXCEL and MS Access, SQL, etc.
