About the position

The Project Manager (IT) is responsible for managing small to medium-sized Information Technology projects at ITC Holdings Corp. This role involves utilizing standard Project Management Office (PMO) methodologies to facilitate project initiation, estimation, and execution. The Project Manager acts as a liaison between the PMO and project requestors, ensuring effective communication and alignment between IT and business strategies. The position requires overseeing the project lifecycle, from initiation to closure, while managing resources, schedules, and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates project initiation and estimation process, including requirements gathering and business case creation.
• Acts as a liaison between PMO and project requestors, ensuring effective communication.
• Leads cross-functional project teams and evaluates best solutions for project requests.
• Manages day-to-day tasks for assigned projects, including project deliverables and reporting.
• Communicates project status, issues, risks, and tasks to stakeholders effectively.
• Identifies project resource requirements, plans, and schedules.
• Builds and maintains relationships with internal technology teams and vendors.
• Completes project documents and ensures they are current and appropriately saved.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related technical area, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Project Management.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.
• Experience in coordinating and motivating outside vendors to meet project deadlines.
• Ability to create business cases to support project approval.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Experience with PPM systems preferred.
• Experience in project selection preferred.
