About the position

The IT Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing multiple IT enterprise software implementation projects, ensuring they are delivered successfully within scope, quality, time, and cost constraints. This role requires a strong understanding of Enterprise Business Applications and Agile/Scrum principles, as well as the ability to work with cross-functional teams to implement and enhance business applications.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, tasks, and required activities.
  • Provide leadership and motivation to project team members throughout the project life cycle.
  • Establish work plan and staffing for project activities, iterations, or phases.
  • Collaborate closely with internal/external Project Managers.
  • Perform risk assessments and implement mitigation plans.
  • Facilitate translation of business needs into functional requirements.
  • Manage organizational change, training, testing, data migration, and cutover.
  • Implement project communication plan and conduct weekly status meetings with stakeholders.
  • Align with internal audit team to ensure all required documentation is gathered.
  • Monitor project activities, ensuring the quality and integrity of information.
  • Ensure that project goals are accomplished and align with business objectives.
  • Assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority to project teams.
  • Direct and coordinate activities of project teams to ensure project progress on schedule and within budget.
  • Establish standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation.
  • Continuously benchmark project management performance to identify improvements.
  • Assess and enhance team agility and maturity by developing coaching plans.
  • Coach individuals and teams to facilitate adoption of agile methodologies.
  • Facilitate sprint and release planning sessions and other agile ceremonies as needed.
  • Challenge existing workflows and processes and remove impediments to agile teams' success.
  • Facilitate the organization's transition to a continuous delivery model.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience deploying Enterprise Business applications and customer-facing technologies.
  • Minimum of two years of demonstrated competency in a junior or assistant project management role.
  • 10+ years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Epicor 10 preferred.
  • Experience building strong relationships with collaborators across an organization.
  • Experience moving technical projects forward with minimal oversight.

Nice-to-haves

  • PMP certification is a plus.
  • Agile certification such as CSM or PSM preferred.
  • Prior experience in the Engineering design, and/or commercial industrial manufacturing industry is helpful.
