About the position

The Project Manager (IT) at DaVita is responsible for delivering medium to high complexity projects in accordance with DaVita's specific delivery frameworks, which include Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid methodologies. These projects typically involve a single customer, multiple delivery teams, multiple vendors, and a moderate project budget. The Project Manager plays a crucial role in managing and supporting the Project Leadership Team (PLT) to ensure the successful delivery of the agreed project scope. This involves driving the project forward and tracking progress through various processes, including the creation of schedules, managing risks and issues, and overseeing budget creation and tracking. Effective communication with IT and business leadership is essential, as is the appropriate escalation of issues to the PLT and leadership. The Project Manager is also responsible for creating all applicable project artifacts and managing geographically diverse teams. Specific responsibilities include driving the successful delivery of projects, creating project deliverables, and tracking and communicating all details related to project timelines and progress. The role requires a proactive approach to project management, ensuring that all aspects of the project are aligned with the overall goals and objectives of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver medium to high complexity projects using Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid methodologies.
  • Manage and support the Project Leadership Team (PLT) for successful project delivery.
  • Drive project progress and track against established schedules.
  • Manage risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee the creation and tracking of project budgets.
  • Communicate effectively with IT and business leadership regarding project status.
  • Escalate issues appropriately to PLT and leadership.
  • Create all applicable project artifacts and documentation.
  • Manage geographically diverse teams to ensure project success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • 3+ years of project management experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project.
  • Experience using Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) tools.
