About the position

DLR Group is seeking a Project Manager for its Justice+Civic practice in Texas. This role involves leading public sector projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget while delivering design excellence. The Project Manager will supervise architectural and engineering staff, coordinate with clients, and manage project communications, all while fostering relationships that build client trust and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects on budget and schedule while delivering design excellence.
• Provide hands-on supervision to architectural, engineering, and design staff during all project phases.
• Serve as the primary contact with clients to ensure project completion on schedule and within budget.
• Develop project work plans including schedules and budgets for project success.
• Coordinate all project efforts to ensure efficient and cost-effective execution.
• Participate in interviews and presentations to win work from clients.
• Proactively manage client budgets, schedules, and project communications.
• Estimate fees, determine scope of work, and prepare proposals and contracts.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in architecture, with at least 4 years leading large-scale public sector projects.
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture.
• Excellent communication and public speaking skills for client presentations.
• Technical experience in leading construction administration efforts.
• Knowledge of building codes and construction methods.

Nice-to-haves

• Planifi and/or Deltek Vantagepoint experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Public Sector, Institutional, Civic, Public Safety, Courthouse, and/or Justice projects.
• Proficiency in REVIT and CAD software.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and Sketch-Up.
• LEED Accreditation.
• Interest in sustainable building design.
