About the position

The Project Manager for Justice Initiatives at Staffing Solutions Organization LLC will lead the Office of MaineCare Services through the 1115 re-entry waiver application and implementation. This role involves coordinating efforts across various departments and community stakeholders to ensure effective project execution and compliance with state requirements for case management and health screenings for eligible juveniles. The position requires strong leadership, communication, and project management skills to oversee vendor relationships and deliver project milestones.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the project manager for the 1115 re-entry waiver application and implementation.
  • Coordinate across the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), the Department of Corrections, and County Jails.
  • Conduct readiness assessments for participating jails and prisons.
  • Engage stakeholders and evaluate the need for capacity building funds.
  • Develop an Implementation and Evaluation plan in alignment with the re-entry waiver work.
  • Oversee vendors through procurement and contract management.
  • Establish workplans, timelines, and project milestones.
  • Write and present updates and reports on project activities to various audiences.
  • Deliver presentations to external stakeholders and committees regarding implementation activities.

Requirements

  • Eight (8) years of education and/or experience in healthcare, social service, health plan administration, justice system, health planning, policy or program design and implementation, or project management.
  • Professional and/or clinical degrees in law, criminal justice, behavioral health, human services, public administration, healthcare administration, public health, or a comparable field are highly preferred.
  • Broad knowledge of justice systems.
  • Experience utilizing trauma-informed practices to engage justice-involved populations.
  • Experience working within healthcare delivery systems and/or population health.
  • Ability to analyze, evaluate, and interpret data to inform decision-making.
  • Experience managing public health programs, including development and implementation of workplans and communication strategies.
  • Knowledge of implementation science.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse project partners, consumers, and providers of health and behavioral health care.
  • Excellent written and oral professional communication skills.
