About the position

ESP Associates is seeking a Project Manager with expertise in civil engineering, specifically in land development and infrastructure design. This role involves managing projects and collaborating within a team to deliver high-quality engineering solutions for various projects, including residential, commercial, and municipal developments. The position is based in the Raleigh (Morrisville), NC office and offers opportunities for professional growth in a dynamic engineering firm.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong relationships with team members.
• Provide training/mentoring for junior members of the team.
• Provide feedback to the Team Lead in support of engineering proposals.
• Provide feedback to the Team Lead in support of monthly invoicing for managed projects.
• Provide feedback to the Team Lead regarding project and staff schedules.
• Perform civil site/land development design, permitting, and construction observation on various projects.
• Perform design of land development projects using Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
• Prepare technical design calculations for land development projects.
• Conduct technical reviews of engineering documents for conformance with project goals.
• Perform preliminary engineering evaluations, including quantity take-offs and cost opinions.
• Conduct site visits and prepare associated field reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
• 5+ years of civil engineering design and project management experience
• PE Licensure or ability to obtain licensure in North Carolina and/or South Carolina
• Advanced design skills in Civil 3D and other relevant software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, design team environment

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with ICPR, SedCAD, Hydraflow Hydrographs, Hydraflow Storm Sewers, HydroCAD, and WaterCAD
• Strong desire to continue learning and advance professionally
