About the position

We are seeking a Business Development & Project Manager in Logistics to join our growing logistics branch in Savannah, GA. This full-time hybrid role focuses on identifying new business opportunities and managing logistics projects, particularly in the areas of steel, oversized, and heavy cargo. The position requires strong project management skills, customer relationship management, and the ability to adapt to changing project needs while ensuring timely and successful project completion.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in the logistics sector to expand the company's portfolio.
• Oversee and manage ongoing logistics projects, focusing on steel, oversized, and heavy cargo, ensuring timely and successful completion within budget.
• Maintain project timelines and budget adherence, while adapting to changing project needs.
• Coordinate with global teams to align on shared goals and drive project success.
• Build and maintain close customer relationships, ensuring high-quality customer care and service.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in business development and project logistics, break bulk shipping, abnormal haulage.
• Proven skills in negotiation, communication, and strategic problem-solving.
• Strong analytical abilities with expertise in project management and budgeting in the break bulk logistics sector.
• Creative and strategic thinker with the ability to find innovative solutions.
• Extensive network of suitable logistical partners in the break bulk industry.
• Exceptional organizational skills with a structured approach to managing multiple projects and priorities.
• Ability to build positive client relationships and deliver excellent customer service.

Nice-to-haves

• Proficiency in German or Spanish is beneficial.
• Experience in break bulk shipping (1 year preferred).
