About the position

The Project Manager is responsible for delivering a multi-year program aimed at developing an Armed Forces Airborne Doctrine Program. This role involves coordinating and synchronizing activities between a team of highly trained former military professionals on-site and a pool of remote personnel to produce necessary doctrine products. The position requires tactical and operational experience, focusing on capability development in areas such as Joint Fires, Targeting, Logistics, and more, to meet organizational mandates and missions.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and synchronize activities of on-site and remote personnel.
  • Deliver a multi-year program for the Armed Forces Airborne Doctrine Program.
  • Develop unit capabilities to achieve organizational mandates and missions.
  • Apply the DOTMILBIE framework to assess organizational design and identify capability gaps.
  • Familiarize with Joint Airborne Operations, Air Assault Operations, and Special Operations.

Requirements

  • Retired Colonel (NATO) with extensive tactical and operational experience in Airborne, Air Assault, or Special Operations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in on-site and distributed work environments with minimal oversight.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite Skills, especially in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Possess active Secret or higher security clearance or the ability to obtain an interim clearance.
  • Possess a valid National Passport with more than 6 months to expiration.
  • Previous Project Management experience is desired.
  • Master's Degree in military science, national security studies, or a related field.
  • War College Graduate or NATO equivalent.
  • Ten or more years of military experience in Airborne and Air Assault organizations, preferably in an operational setting.
  • Experience with force design, doctrine or concepts development, equipment and manpower documentation, or resourcing at Division level staff or higher.
