About the position

The Project Manager (Manufacturing/Engineering) role is focused on coordinating and planning equipment and process installations within a manufacturing environment. This position involves leading project planning for major and minor projects, developing project schedules, and collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project execution. The role requires a hands-on approach to gather data and perform process analysis, with a strong emphasis on improving process efficiencies and reducing costs.

Responsibilities

• Support the coordination and planning of equipment and process installations.
• Lead project planning for major and minor model and CapEx projects.
• Develop project schedules highlighting required milestones and report project status.
• Support equipment commissioning and quality confirmation planning.
• Develop new technologies and vendor base for Production Engineering to improve process efficiencies.
• Benchmark other manufacturing centers and identify Kaizen opportunities for quality and cost reduction.
• Collaborate with internal and external groups including Paint Engineering Project Leaders and Logistics.

Requirements

• Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Production, or Controls Engineering, or equivalent engineering experience (3+ years).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2012 or above for 2D designs.
• Experience coordinating equipment installations with multiple contractors.
• Passion for a hands-on manufacturing environment to gather data and perform process analysis.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel and some proficiency in other Microsoft Office systems (PowerBI, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).

Nice-to-haves

• 2+ years work experience in a manufacturing/technical environment in an engineering role.
• Experience with Automotive Paint Process (OEM).
• Some 3D Modeling experience (Catia, XVL, Solidworks, Inventor).
• Experience with project management in an engineering role.
