About the position

The Project Manager role at a major food corporation in St. Louis, MO, is a contract position focused on managing marketing projects. The position requires the individual to develop and communicate project timelines, lead meetings, and ensure project success through collaboration with internal and external teams. The role emphasizes process optimization and strategic thinking about communications and consumer experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and communicate holistic project timelines to internal and external teams.
  • Create and manage all project timelines.
  • Organize and set up kickoffs, collaborations, and presentations.
  • Lead both internal and brand status meetings.
  • Lead daily standup meetings (Kanban).
  • Manage and recommend process optimizations using agile principles.
  • Celebrate projects, leading retrospective sessions and suggesting ways to instill learnings within the department and across disciplines.
  • Act as a cross-functional hub for all project executions, partnering closely with internal and external partners.
  • Manage high volume, quick turn projects with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Understand multiple aspects of production from digital, experiential, and content.
  • Manage the production phase of most projects once key creative and copy have been approved.
  • Consider the full scope of projects beyond simply managing timelines.
  • Think strategically about communications and the implications of choices being made regarding the consumer journey/experience.
  • Take ownership of project efficiency and understand project processes.
  • Knowledge of and proficiency with Content Hub and/or VR Financial.
  • Open jobs utilizing agency software tools.
  • Work with account leads to accurately scope project jobs.
  • Issue POs to external vendors.
  • Manage all production-related requests from the internal team, clients, or meta-agency partners.
  • Gather and vet specs to ensure project accuracy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a Marketing/Advertising agency project management role.
  • Demonstrated ability of past contributions to client businesses in an agency service environment.

  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience with Project Management and Agile tools.
