About the position

The Project Manager at NASCAR will oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of Media and Event Technology projects. This role requires a dynamic and motivated individual with a background in managing software development projects, including custom applications and APIs. The Project Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and meet high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the planning, execution, monitoring, and control of multiple technical projects simultaneously using Agile methodologies.
  • Create and manage projects, tasks, and workflows in JIRA.
  • Manage the software development team backlog, develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocations.
  • Conduct regular project status meetings, identify and resolve issues and risks, and provide progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define project objectives, requirements, and deliverables.
  • Implement, participate, and enforce quality assurance processes to ensure high-quality project delivery.
  • Maintain a strong focus on customer service and satisfaction by delivering predictable, repeatable project results.
  • Travel to events or partner locations to meet with project stakeholders as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical project management and stakeholder management.
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) process.
  • Familiarity with general programming concepts, APIs, and cloud computing.
  • Experience in managing technical projects using Agile methodologies, from planning to execution and delivery.
  • Experience with Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban, as well as Waterfall and Hybrid project management methodologies.
  • Proficient in JIRA or similar project management tools, with demonstrated experience in creating and managing projects, tasks, and workflows.
  • Project management certification, such as PMP or Agile Practitioner preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt to changing technology landscapes and evolving business needs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical experience with all company-provided hardware, software, and networks, and project management frameworks.
