About the position

The Project Manager at Methods Machine Tools, Inc. is responsible for overseeing all aspects of machine tool projects from order creation through installation, training, and sign-off. This role involves creating project schedules, coordinating with various departments and suppliers, and ensuring timely project closure. The Project Manager will also facilitate communication with customers and sales personnel, assist engineering teams, and manage logistics related to machine deliveries.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all machine tool projects from order creation through installation, training, and sign-off.
  • Create project schedules for the customer.
  • Track and coordinate order progress, from initial P.O. to receipt.
  • Collaborate, negotiate, and elevate to resolve conflict and hold timelines.
  • Track and coordinate with Corp Production, 3rd Party Suppliers, MMT-MI Production, Service, and Engineering.
  • Direct and ensure timely sign-off and closure of projects.
  • Work with Production daily on build schedule progress and address issues immediately.
  • Confirm that options are ordered and delivery dates are consistent with the production schedule.
  • Work with Production on ideas to innovate or standardize machine builds.
  • Create USB for the back of the machine with installed option documentation and option files from FANUC.
  • Create ship book for customers on Turnkey projects.
  • Communicate with customers via Zoom, Teams, or phone calls for updates and confirmations via email.
  • Assist Engineering with project folder creation and maintain documentation on shared drives.
  • Assist Engineering in creating demands for INT projects and resource plans.
  • Assist Engineering in Post-Sale demand for PST projects, creating projects in CSI and ServiceNow.
  • Update scope documents for turnkeys, automation, or engineering services PST projects.
  • Coordinate with the shipping group to setup riggers for machine deliveries.
  • Quote engineered components and issue POs to suppliers.
  • Follow up on quoted/ordered components for scheduling around builds.
  • Accept deliveries from carriers and manage inventory for staging.
  • Manage removal and deliveries of machines with riggers.
  • Participate in maintaining an organized and presentable building environment.

Requirements

  • BA in Project Management or previous Project Management experience.
