About the position

The Project Manager for Multifamily Residential at Salas O'Brien is responsible for overseeing the execution of existing and future multifamily programs. This role involves managing projects from initiation to completion, ensuring compliance with program rules and policies, and supporting continuous improvement efforts in the multifamily sector. The position emphasizes a people-first approach to problem-solving and aims to deliver impactful solutions for clients while fostering a collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the continuous improvement of existing programs in the multifamily sector
  • Manage projects from initiation to completion, including scope, schedule, and budgets
  • Resolve issues regarding assigned projects with applicants or consultants
  • Case management of multifamily building projects
  • Assist with processing of project applications
  • Organize and conduct telephone scoping sessions covering project requirements and roles
  • Review project submittals for projects
  • Input and manage program databases (Including CRIS)
  • Complete quarterly program reporting
  • Assist with program evaluation efforts
  • Work with staff augmentation personnel to ensure successful project completion
  • Coordinate with QA/QC and technical review contractors
  • Perform other responsibilities contributing to key outcomes of the Multifamily team

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, policy, public or business administration, architecture, real estate, urban planning, marketing, or related field
  • 3-6 years of relevant project management experience
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to multi-task, set priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Outstanding external and customer communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to review and evaluate submittals for large-scale projects
  • Ability to schedule and conduct meetings involving multiple participants
  • Ability to coordinate with NYSERDA staff and various multifamily entities
  • Knowledge of energy consuming systems in multifamily buildings
  • Knowledge of energy conservation measures in comprehensive energy efficiency projects
  • Familiarity with NYSERDA's Multifamily Performance Program (MPP) & Low Carbon Pathways (LCP) is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel for data analysis

Nice-to-haves
