About the position

The Project Manager will oversee new business project coordination for the Northern California utilities team, focusing on the installation of new gas and electric facilities. This role involves planning, executing projects, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards while maintaining communication with stakeholders and managing customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate new business projects including customer contact, billing, and contract preparation.
• Maximize public and employee safety by ensuring compliance with job designs and standards.
• Prepare field sketches and layouts for construction of electric or gas systems.
• Manage project scope, schedule, and cost from initiation to completion.
• Coordinate with various departments to define project objectives and responsibilities.
• Monitor project schedules and prioritize work accordingly.
• Conduct pre-engineering and pre-construction meetings, addressing potential project risks.
• Communicate project status to stakeholders and facilitate dispute resolution.
• Prepare contracts ensuring compliance with standards and tariffs.
• Ensure all project documentation is maintained and permits are obtained.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, Project Management, Business or related field required.
• At least three years of experience as a Project Manager or in a senior level role.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification desired.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Ability to define efficient approaches to data collection and analysis.
