About the position

The Project Manager for New Product Development at Carlisle Companies will coordinate various teams and processes to ensure timely delivery of new products. This role involves overseeing multiple projects, managing timelines, and ensuring that product specifications are met. The Project Manager will lead meetings, gather requirements, and facilitate testing to ensure successful product launches.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate people and processes for new product development projects.
  • Oversee multiple new product development projects simultaneously.
  • Specify, set, prioritize, and evaluate work generated by product teams.
  • Ensure successful launch of a select portfolio of products.
  • Gather requirements and document project details.
  • Run team meetings and assist with testing.
  • Plan with the organization for timely product launches.
  • Organize work in alignment with timelines.
  • Execute phase gate NPD process.
  • Inspire team collaboration and deliver high impact results.
  • Coordinate plant/field trials and third-party interactions.
  • Conduct NPD core team meetings and phase gate meetings.
  • Perform post-launch review meetings and project data reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Business, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Engineering, Polymer Science, or related technical discipline; MBA or MS preferred.
  • Zero to five years of experience as a Project Manager, Product Manager, Engineer, R&D Technician, or R&D Chemist.
  • Knowledge of traditional project management principles and practices.
  • Ability to adapt project management to fit a project.
  • Familiarity with Agile project management is a plus.
  • Understanding of product development life cycle models and stage gate processes.
  • Knowledge of construction materials and building technology.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with process improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with customer VOC/Ethnography and related product development tools.
  • Experience in mentoring and coaching team members.
