The Project Manager for New Product Development at G&W Electric is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of assigned development projects. This includes managing the scope, schedule, cost, and risk associated with the projects, while ensuring that all customer and company requirements regarding cost, quality, and timing are met. The Project Manager will lead a multidisciplinary global team, collaborating with various stakeholders such as Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Aftermarket Service, Quality, Finance, Product Management, and Marketing to ensure successful project delivery. In this role, the Project Manager will coordinate resources and ensure compliance with Product Realization Stage-Gate requirements. They will also be responsible for identifying, prioritizing, and mitigating project risks, developing critical path analyses to manage timelines, reduce costs, and address potential risks. The Project Manager will support the establishment of project management best practices and continuous improvement initiatives, reviewing projects against company goals for cost efficiency and reliability. Effective communication is crucial, as the Project Manager will be tasked with disseminating project information to team members, management, and other stakeholders through formal presentations and correspondence. Additionally, they will collect data for ongoing analysis to facilitate problem-solving and solution design, preparing documentation of processes, material requirements, test results, and project activities as necessary. This role may also involve other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of G&W Electric's innovative product development efforts.
