About the position

As a project manager at Mativ, you will be responsible for developing, communicating, and executing project plans that describe the Mativ design strategy to take a market or customer idea concept or process/material improvement from feasibility phase to commercialization. Your role will involve transforming ideas into commercially viable, financially attractive products for customers. You will set project scope and objectives, define and monitor tasks, milestones, and risks throughout the project, and manage stage-gate processes using appropriate systems and software. Additionally, you will lead cross-functional teams to execute project deliverables, ensuring timelines are met while communicating any changes in scope or timing to all relevant functions. You will also manage client engagement and communication for projects, identify and manage potential issues and risks, and support continuous improvement initiatives in all aspects of project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, communicate and execute project plans that describe the Mativ design strategy.
  • Set project scope and objectives. Define and monitor tasks, milestones and risks throughout the project.
  • Manage stage-gate processes using appropriate systems and software.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to execute project deliverables, meeting required timelines.
  • Lead client engagement relationship and communication for projects.
  • Identify, log, analyze and manage potential and actual issues and risks.
  • Manage relationships between R&D and production.
  • Manage internal process improvement projects including raw material qualification and production process improvements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in all aspects of delivering projects.
  • Act as the technical liaison with manufacturing.
  • Ensure compliance to FDA and EU regulatory standards for drug products, OTC products, and medical devices.
  • Work with third party testing labs on raw material, safety, and finished goods testing.
  • Provide support to the commercial team in communicating with customers.

Requirements

  • BS degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Project management skills: setting and monitoring scope, actions and timelines, risk identification and mitigation.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products required.
  • Must be able to read/write professionally in the English language.
  • Strong leadership skills to effectively work with all team members.
  • Travel percentage <10%.

Nice-to-haves

  • PMP or similar project management experience and/or certification.
  • 0-5 years of experience in OTC, drug products, pharmaceutical products and/or medical devices.
  • Experience with FDA 10993, 510(k), OTC monographed products; ISO 9001, ISO 13485; and/or EU MDR process.
  • Experience in contract manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to speak and write in Spanish language.
  • Experience with Monday.com, MS Office, Asana, or other project management software.
