The Project Manager at G&W Electric plays a crucial role in overseeing the overall scope, schedule, cost management, risk management, and communication activities for assigned development projects. This position is integral to ensuring that all customer and company cost, quality, and timing requirements are met. The Project Manager will manage the design process of new products for manufacturing at G&W facilities or third parties, ultimately being accountable for the performance and results of project teams. In this role, the Project Manager will establish and lead a multidisciplinary global team dedicated to the development of innovative products. Collaboration with various stakeholders, including Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Aftermarket Service, Quality, Finance, Product Management, and Marketing, is essential to ensure the successful delivery of projects. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing the schedule, scope, budget, and staffing to keep projects on track and within commitments. Additionally, the Project Manager will coordinate resources and ensure the completion of Product Realization Stage-Gate requirements. Risk management is a key responsibility, involving the identification, prioritization, and mitigation of project risks. The Project Manager will also develop critical path analyses to manage project timelines, reduce costs, and mitigate risks. Supporting the development of project management best practices and continuous improvement initiatives is also part of the role. Effective communication is vital, as the Project Manager will relay project information within the team, to management, and to other stakeholders through formal and informal presentations and correspondence. The role includes collecting information for ongoing data mining and analysis to facilitate effective problem-solving and solution design. Documentation of processes, material requirements, test results, and project activities is required, along with the creation or revision of G&W standards as necessary. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
