About the position

The Project Manager (Non-IT) at Mueller Water Products is responsible for overseeing various projects related to the transmission of clean drinking water. This role involves cross-functional collaboration with internal and external teams, managing customer requirements, contract administration, and ensuring customer service from project initiation to completion. The position is crucial in maintaining the company's commitment to delivering clean drinking water and requires strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work cross-functionally with internal and external teams including Legal, Engineering, Accounting, Sales, Trade Compliance, Order Entry, Field Services, and Purchasing.
• Prepare submittals and re-submittals for approval.
• Handle all project management tasks, customer requirements, contract administration, and customer service from beginning to completion of assigned projects.
• Initiate and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers.
• Negotiate contract terms and conditions with customers in collaboration with Legal and Accounting.
• Manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

Requirements

• Strong technical background, including specifications and bill of materials.
• Excellent organizational skills and sense of urgency.
• Ability to learn quickly and be customer-focused.
• Timely decision-making and self-motivated.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
• Good technical aptitude and ability to read and interpret drawings.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering, communications, technology, or sales-related discipline.
• Experience with inventory control programs such as JD Edwards (JDE).
