About the position

The Project Manager at Mueller is responsible for overseeing various projects related to the transmission of clean drinking water. This role involves cross-functional collaboration with multiple internal and external teams, ensuring that customer requirements are met from project initiation to completion. The Project Manager will handle contract administration, customer service, and project management tasks, contributing to the company's mission of providing essential water services.

Responsibilities

  • Work cross-functionally with internal and external teams including Legal, Engineering, Accounting, Sales, Trade Compliance, Order Entry, Field Services, and Purchasing.
  • Prepare submittals and re-submittals for approval.
  • Handle all project management tasks, customer requirements, contract administration, and customer service from project initiation to completion.
  • Initiate and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Communicate effectively on the phone and lead Zoom conference calls.
  • Visit the Company's Kimball, TN manufacturing area frequently, likely on a weekly basis.

Requirements

  • Strong technical background, including specifications and bill of materials.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to learn quickly and be customer-focused.
  • Timely decision-making skills and self-motivation.
  • Proven ability to multitask and handle multiple priorities (50+ jobs).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Good technical aptitude and ability to read and interpret drawings.
  • Strong time management skills and adaptability to changing project demands.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy, with good problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering, communications, technology, or a sales-related discipline.
  • Experience with mainframe programs such as JD Edwards (JDE).
