About the position

The Project Manager, Non-Technical is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of projects, ensuring that all work adheres to both internal and external quality standards. This role involves developing and implementing resource and production plans tailored to meet customer needs effectively. The Project Manager will monitor the project to ensure that the work scope, schedule, and budget are clearly defined and maintained throughout the project lifecycle. Additionally, the position requires managing labor and maintaining employee relations, which includes responsibilities related to hiring, terminations, and employee resolution. As a federal contractor, the company emphasizes the importance of compliance with regulations, including the necessity for the Project Manager to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment, and property. The role is situated within a drug-free workplace that adheres to the Federal Controlled Substance Act, highlighting the company's commitment to safety and compliance. The Project Manager will be accountable for overseeing the results of multi-functional project teams and ensuring that safe work practices are implemented for all subordinates. This includes providing administrative and operational leadership within the program guidelines set by the Program Manager and the customer. The Project Manager will also be responsible for developing bids and proposals for targeted opportunities in the designated market, as well as providing financial and operational performance management reporting. Coordination between resource managers and supervisors is essential to ensure that all necessary reviews and approvals are obtained. Furthermore, the Project Manager may conduct performance and project analyses during phase-down periods to inform future projects and programs.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day tactical duties for a moderately complex non-technical program.
  • Accountable for the results of multi-functional project teams.
  • Implement company safety programs and ensure safe work practices for all subordinates.
  • Provide administrative and operational leadership within program guidelines set by the Program Manager and customer.
  • Monitor project work scope, schedule, and budget to ensure they are well defined and maintained.
  • Develop bids and proposals for targeted opportunities in the designated market.
  • Provide financial and operational performance management reporting.
  • Coordinate between resource managers and supervisors to ensure necessary reviews and approvals are received.
  • Conduct performance/project analyses during phase-down to benefit future projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Five (5) years of Project Management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Possess appropriate level of certifications as required by the contract.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screening including background and drug testing.
