About the position

At FIS, we are looking for a motivated and forward-thinking Project Manager to join our B2B and Money Movement team. This role is pivotal in managing division and team projects that implement corporate standard tools and processes, which are essential for scaling operations for regional and global expansion. The successful candidate will support critical business initiatives aimed at driving revenue growth and reducing expenses, including product sunsets, price changes, and client communications. The Project Manager will also assess and enforce adherence to defined standards and policies within the division, ensuring that all ongoing deliverables are met, including executive dashboard reporting and monthly KPI reporting. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating all aspects of non-technical projects from initiation through delivery. This includes managing project initiation activities, ensuring that internal project requirements align with operational standards, and developing project plans that define scope, activities, schedules, budgets, and deliverables. You will identify necessary resources for projects, define and assign major project roles, and coordinate activities among project team members and other internal departments to meet project goals. Additionally, you will manage project risks and issues, serve as a liaison between internal and external organizations, and conduct project closure activities to formalize project acceptance and identify areas for improvement. Responsibilities

  • Manage division and/or team projects to implement corporate standard tools and processes.
  • Support division and team business initiatives critical to driving revenue growth and expense reduction.
  • Assess, inventory and enforce division and team adherence to defined standards and policies.
  • Manage ongoing deliverables for the benefit of the division, including executive dashboard reporting and monthly KPI reporting.
  • Plan and coordinate all aspects of non-technical projects from initiation through delivery.
  • Manage project initiation activities including identifying contractual obligations and business needs.
  • Ensure requirements for internal projects align to operational standards.
  • Develop project plans, project scope, activities, schedules, budgets and deliverables.
  • Identify needed resources for projects and define major project roles.
  • Coordinate activities and tasks among project team members and other internal departments.
  • Assign and monitor work of project team, providing analytical support and direction.
  • Manage project risks, issues/problems and activity progress to ensure project goals are achieved.
  • Serve as liaison between internal organizations and client/vendor organizations.
  • Deliver informational and decision-seeking presentations to business groups.
  • Conduct project closure activities to formalize project acceptance and complete post-implementation reviews.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in business administration or equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of project management standards, processes, procedures and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of industry project management best practices, such as PMBOK.
  • Knowledge of standards relevant to the financial services industry, e.g., ISO, Six Sigma.
  • Demonstrated skill in managing project budgets and timelines.
  • Excellent analysis, problem-solving, team, conflict management and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with executive level clients.
  • Ability to set clear expectations and manage team performance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with PowerBI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools.
  • Experience working in retail or business environments to understand small business operations.
