About the position

The Project Manager for Office Interior Construction will provide consulting services to clients, managing projects from initiation through completion. This role focuses on interior office construction and tenant improvements for approximately 70-80 client properties across the United States. The position is remote, with a preference for candidates in Eastern or Central Time Zones to facilitate collaboration with the project management team and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all areas of project management for commercial real estate projects, including planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout.
  • Interface directly with clients to prepare project elements such as scope of work, resource requirements, cost estimates, budget, work plan schedule, quality control, and risk identification.
  • Define project delivery resources and conduct requests for proposals, complete bid evaluations, and recommend resources to clients.
  • Implement project documentation governance aligned with company and client requirements.
  • Ensure project data integrity and documentation is accurate, timely, and coordinated.
  • Direct the project delivery team, providing mentorship and direction to achieve goals.
  • Build action plans to meet objectives, budget, and schedule, tracking project progress and reporting status and variances.
  • Identify project threats and develop risk mitigation and contingency plans, implementing action plans to reduce or eliminate risks.
  • Mentor others and share in-depth knowledge of the job subject area and related fields.
  • Lead by example, modeling behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values and working to build consensus.

Requirements

  • Currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience; a combination of experience and education will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • LEED AP, PMP, and/or CCM designation(s) preferred.
  • General knowledge of leases, contracts, and construction practices, with the ability to read architectural drawings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and MS Project.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an advanced inquisitive mentality.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in commercial real estate project management.
  • Familiarity with project management software and tools.
