About the position

The Project Manager for the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) plays a crucial role in advancing fair and equitable practices within Baltimore County. This position involves managing various programs related to human relations and minority and women-owned business enterprises, as well as overseeing the DEI budget and conducting statistical analyses. The Project Manager will work closely with the Division Chief, providing administrative support and ensuring effective communication with various departments and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the management of human relations and minority and women-owned business enterprise programs.
  • Formulate and execute the DEI budget, analyzing expenses and revenues.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze budget requests and justifications.
  • Authorize purchase requests and monitor expenditures.
  • Provide guidance to agency staff on diversity, equity, and inclusion activities.
  • Conduct administrative and management studies, analyzing policies and procedures.
  • Perform statistical analysis of data and prepare comprehensive reports.
  • Administer grants and manage special service contracts with vendors.
  • Coordinate and implement special programs and projects.
  • Compile statistical data for meetings and planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Three years of professional experience in planning, zoning, or development management.
  • Thorough knowledge of public and business administration principles.
  • Experience in budgeting and statistical data analysis.
  • Skill in using personal computers and office software packages.

Nice-to-haves
