About the position

The Project Manager for Operational Excellence at Nexamp is responsible for the successful implementation of various complex projects within the Customer Experience & Operations organization. This role focuses on improving internal operations to enhance customer experience and supports initiatives across departments such as Marketing, Finance, and Community Solar Sales. The Project Manager will collaborate with product teams to advocate for customer needs and leverage technology to scale the business.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct current-state assessments of business processes to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Create project plans based on assessments to address identified improvement opportunities.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, successfully kicking off, managing, and implementing process improvement initiatives.
  • Employ project management skills related to overall project tracking, deliverables management, action item tracking, meeting minutes, team communications, and presentations.
  • Manage and influence stakeholders throughout a project.
  • Work with leadership to identify opportunities for process improvement and leverage data to prioritize these opportunities.
  • Communicate effectively across the organization, both verbally and in writing.
  • Address ad hoc issues impacting billing operations or customer experience with urgency.
  • Act as a liaison between the Customer Experience department and product teams, advocating for team priorities.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional experience in an operations or process improvement role.
  • Superior communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to direct, influence, and coach team members to achieve program outcomes.
  • A patient, customer-centric, and proactive mindset.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with team members at all levels.
  • Time management skills with experience in working to tight project deadlines.
  • Ability to utilize quantitative and qualitative data to interpret reports.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Applications, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and within a team.

  • Eagerness to develop a fundamental understanding of how Nexamp operates.
