About the position

The Project Manager - Operations at CAN Community Health is responsible for ensuring the successful execution of projects by planning, managing resources, and engaging relevant stakeholders. The role focuses on delivering high-quality project outcomes on time and within scope while contributing to the continuous improvement of project management processes through post-project reviews and evaluations.

Responsibilities

  • Develops detailed project plans, schedules, and timelines for individual projects.
  • Manages the day-to-day activities of the project, ensuring tasks are completed on time and within scope.
  • Leads project planning sessions and general project meetings.
  • Assigns resources to specific tasks within the project, ensuring team members have what they need to succeed.
  • Identifies and mitigates risks specific to the project, developing contingency plans as needed.
  • Engages with project stakeholders to keep them informed of progress and address any concerns.
  • Ensures that project deliverables meet quality standards through regular reviews and testing.
  • Handles changes to the project scope, schedule, and resources, ensuring changes are communicated and implemented effectively.
  • Completes project activities, conducts post-project reviews, and captures lessons learned.
  • Attends seminars, classes, and informational sessions to keep informed of new developments in the Project Management Field.

Requirements

  • 2 to 5 years of experience managing projects
  • Project Management Professional Certification from the Project Management Institute preferred and/or required after completion of 12-months of employment
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, project management, or a related discipline preferred
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Proficient in project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and other PM frameworks)
  • Strong leadership skills to guide and motivate project teams
  • Proficient in managing time and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines
  • Familiarity with project management software like Microsoft Project, JIRA, or similar tools
  • Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques
  • Ability to utilize decision-making techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style
  • Excellent Computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Office (EXCEL, VISIO, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent people skills, open to direction and commitment to get the job done
  • High comfort working in a diverse environment with changing priorities
