About the position

A long-standing company in NJ is seeking a talented and experienced Project Manager to lead an Oracle HCM Cloud Implementation project. This role is crucial for managing the implementation and continuous improvement of the Oracle cloud HCM application, aimed at enhancing business processes. The Project Manager will be responsible for documenting business requirements, configuring the application, and conducting testing to ensure the successful deployment of the Oracle HCM Cloud application. This position is ideal for an experienced consulting professional with strong knowledge of HCM business processes, a broad understanding of solutions, and the ability to operate independently to deliver quality work products. The Project Manager will perform a variety of complex tasks that require independent judgment, including system strategy development, gathering and documenting business requirements, leading fit-gap analysis, and designing both as-is and to-be business processes. The role also involves prototype demonstrations, functional configuration, testing, and client user training related to the Oracle HCM implementation. The Project Manager will plan and organize tasks, report progress on deliverables, and lead the business team through the project life cycle, focusing on best practice process adoption. In addition, the Project Manager will design processes and prepare the solution blueprint for project implementation. They will articulate product/module features to business teams through product familiarity sessions and training as needed. The role includes leading business requirements meetings, facilitating discussions, and driving decisions, which encompasses workshop facilitation, deliverable generation, application configuration, comprehensive testing, and providing business process best practice advice. The Project Manager will also be responsible for deployment planning, execution, and post-go-live support, ensuring that the implementation meets business needs effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Oracle HCM Cloud implementation project.
  • Gather and document business requirements for the implementation.
  • Conduct fit-gap analysis and design as-is and to-be business processes.
  • Demonstrate prototypes and conduct functional configuration and testing.
  • Plan and organize tasks, reporting progress on deliverables.
  • Guide the business team through the project life cycle with a focus on best practices.
  • Design processes and prepare the solution blueprint for implementation.
  • Facilitate business requirements meetings and drive decision-making processes.
  • Coordinate design and configuration with functional leads across the implementation scope.
  • Lead testing efforts, including test case preparation and execution with users.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Oracle HCM Cloud.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a functional advisory or consulting role on Oracle HCM Cloud core modules.
  • Hands-on experience in multiple full life cycle implementations of Oracle HCM Cloud (Fusion).
  • Strong functional knowledge of the Oracle HCM Cloud application.
  • Experience leading a project team and managing workstream leads.
  • Experience managing project financials and risks/issues.
  • Superior communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Minimum of 10 years of HCM implementation consulting experience.
  • Expertise on North American HCM functional business processes and US regulatory requirements.

Nice-to-haves

  • Oracle Cloud Certification is preferred.
  • Previous consulting experience with a consulting/SI organization.
