About the position

The Project Manager for Payroll will oversee project planning and execution, ensuring alignment with stakeholder needs and adherence to budget constraints. This role requires collaboration with various teams to define project scope, track progress, and communicate effectively with all parties involved. The position emphasizes the application of best practices in project management, risk assessment, and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Create a project plan using best practice PMO methodology to meet stakeholder needs and deliver within budget.
• Work closely with End Users, Technology, and other organizations to define project scope and objectives.
• Prepare, maintain, and submit clear and concise activity/progress reports and time management reports.
• Track project participant progress against project goals proactively.
• Define and enforce good project management practices, breaking down complex activities into manageable tasks.
• Identify and amend project approaches based on context and constraints.
• Recognize and articulate problems, bringing the right people together to solve them.
• Communicate project milestones, status updates, and escalation issues to all concerned parties.
• Assess risks in business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and managing control issues transparently.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of project management experience, preferably in a financial services environment.
• PMP certification is strongly preferred; Six Sigma certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of project metrics, including gathering, reporting, and trend analysis.
• Proficient in MS Office applications, especially advanced Excel, MS Project, and VISIO; Adobe Acrobat Professional is a plus.

Nice-to-haves
