About the position

The Project Manager position at F.N.B. Corp. is a full-time role based in Pittsburgh, PA, primarily responsible for providing professional project management and process improvement services. The incumbent will manage engagements that typically last between three to twelve months or subprojects within a larger multi-year engagement. This role requires hands-on experience in project planning and execution, including scope definition and management, task and resource scheduling, cost and price budgeting, quality review and assurance, client relationship management, project team management, and overall change management. The Project Manager will oversee multiple small to medium projects that span the entire organization, collaborating with diverse project teams that include resources from IT, Risk, Legal, Operations, and various Lines of Business. The role involves preparing materials and training project team members in the use of project management processes and tools, as well as developing and maintaining detailed project schedules that include milestones, tasks, and target and actual completion dates. The Project Manager will also be responsible for revising project plans and schedules as needed due to approved change requests, preparing and submitting project status reports to management, and conducting regularly scheduled project status update meetings. In addition to project management, the incumbent will act as the RFP Manager for assigned RFPs, overseeing the development of proposals, bids, quotations, and RFP responses. This includes managing the RFP lifecycle from creation to execution, vendor selection, contract negotiation, and signing. The Project Manager will also work with the Line of Business to develop and implement change management strategies that maximize employee adoption and usage of required changes. The role requires a strong understanding of project management, vendor management, program management, and portfolio management, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with all areas affected by the project, including internal subject matter experts and external corporate departments. The Project Manager will present project status, issues, and risks to Executive Level Management and provide input for establishing corporate PMO project and RFP management processes. The role also involves assisting the Director of PMO with the creation and rollout of standardized project and RFP manager processes and best practices for the corporation. All employees are expected to serve as risk managers for their businesses, adhering to F.N.B. Corporation's risk management program and compliance with regulatory laws and company procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Manages multiple small to medium projects, including deliverables that span the entire organization.
  • Works with diverse project teams consisting of resources from IT, Risk, Legal, Operations, and Line of Business.
  • Prepares materials and trains project team members in the use of project management processes and tools.
  • Develops and maintains a detailed project schedule including milestones, tasks, and target and actual dates of completion.
  • Revises project plans and schedules as needed due to approved change requests.
  • Prepares and submits project status reports to management and conducts regularly scheduled project status update meetings.
  • Facilitates the project change management process.
  • Acts as RFP Manager on assigned RFPs, overseeing the development of proposals, bids, quotations, and RFP responses.
  • Manages RFP from creation to execution, vendor selection, contract negotiation, and signing.
  • Prepares materials and trains RFP team members in the use of the RFP management process and tools.
  • Understands Organizational Change Management and manages assigned process improvement and/or organizational change projects.
  • Works with Line of Business to develop and implement change management strategies and plans.
  • Possesses a strong understanding of project management, vendor management, program management, and portfolio management.
  • Facilitates the identification and management of project risks, issues, and action items.
  • Communicates with all areas affected by the project, including internal subject matter experts and external corporate departments.
  • Effectively delivers work products in a matrix environment and influences project-related issues.
  • Chairs team meetings, subcommittees, and task forces of project teams.
  • Facilitates and participates in technical and business discussions, requirements clarification sessions, etc.
  • Presents to Executive Level Management on project status, issues, and risks.
  • Provides input for establishing corporate PMO project and RFP management processes.
  • Assists the Director of PMO with the creation and rollout of standardized project/RFP manager processes and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (BA or BS).
  • Minimum of 5 years of job-related experience in project management.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to use a personal computer and job-related software.
  • Intermediate level proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Project, SharePoint, and MS Visio.
  • Knowledge of project management and best practices methodologies.
  • PMP certification preferred, but not required.
