About the position

The Project Manager (PM) at Q2 Impact is responsible for overseeing the management and administration of various projects within the Practice Area. This role involves acting as the primary contact for project stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regulations, managing project budgets, and supporting business development efforts. The PM will enhance their experience in international development while leading a team and integrating technical oversight into project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the overall point of contact with the field office and project leadership.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with the Client's Contracting Officer or Representative.
  • Ensure financial and reputational integrity of projects under supervision.
  • Resolve complex implementation issues.
  • Develop activity budgets and oversee financial management of project budgets.
  • Review monthly project expenditures and send invoices to clients.
  • Ensure compliance with host country laws and regulations.
  • Liaise closely with technical staff for effective program delivery.
  • Supervise Project Coordinators and Assistants.
  • Draft contracts for consultants and service providers.
  • Lead the internal approval process for contracts.
  • Review legal issues for employment and procurement.
  • Ensure compliance with USG regulations.
  • Serve as point of contact for project-related audits.
  • Review and oversee financial and administrative reports.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive reports and correspondence.
  • Assist with development of workplans and program indicators.
  • Participate in evaluation quality assurance.
  • Support new business and proposal preparation activities.
  • Assist with recruitment of personnel and in-country partners.
  • Research legal and program implications for participating countries.
  • Assist with writing and production of proposals.
  • Participate in ideation campaigns and user testing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in International Relations, Public Administration, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years managing USAID and donor-funded projects with a Bachelor's Degree.
  • Minimum of 4 years project management experience.
  • Significant experience in acquisition mechanisms and USG international regulations.
  • Knowledge of project management procedures for international development projects.
  • Detail-oriented with experience in developing/managing program budgets.
  • Interest in MEL, qualitative and quantitative research methods, global health, or organizational learning.
  • Willingness to travel to international locations, including post-conflict environments.
  • Fluency in English required.
  • Prior experience living or working overseas.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in International Development or relevant field preferred.
  • Fluency in additional languages (i.e., French, Spanish, Arabic) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 4 years managing USAID and donor-funded projects with a master's degree.
