About the position

The Project Manager for the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America will oversee various Archdiocesan projects, focusing primarily on financial projects, new systems implementations, and financial policy design. This role involves direct collaboration with the Treasurer and other C-suite executives to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, while also maintaining high standards of quality and communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Manage scope, quality, and budget of various Archdiocesan projects with a focus on financial projects.
  • Plan and set goals for projects, dedicating 10% of time to project planning.
  • Implement projects, which may be self-directed or involve collaboration with different departments and stakeholders, dedicating 70% of time to this task.
  • Communicate project progress and milestones through meetings and stakeholder engagement, dedicating 10% of time to project communication.
  • Document project details and progress, dedicating 10% of time to project documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or finance required; master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in financial analysis, accounting, tax, policy design, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience in a not-for-profit or religious institution is a plus.
  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively and strong analytical skills.
  • Experience managing projects through the full life cycle on time and within budget.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Excel pivot tables, AI tools, and data sharing software.

  • Experience working in a not-for-profit or religious institution.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong financial acumen including financial analysis skills.
