About the position

As a Project Manager on the PMO team, you will be responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and monitoring activities of multiple project teams involved in the analysis, design, development, and implementation of IT initiatives. This role encompasses all aspects of the project lifecycle, from the initial idea and planning stages through to implementation. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to define project scope and objectives, identify the necessary skills and resources for the project team, and develop detailed work plans. Additionally, you will provide project status updates at multiple levels of management, ensuring that all parties are informed of progress and any potential issues. In this position, you will also be tasked with anticipating and identifying project issues and risks, recommending solutions, and working closely with senior management to implement these solutions. The role offers opportunities to engage in various aspects of the business, including IT infrastructure, application development, security and compliance, business processes, organizational change, and operational support. Your ability to manage multiple projects effectively and ensure that they align with the overall business objectives will be crucial to your success in this role.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of IT Project Management experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 2+ years with a Master's degree in a related field.
  • Proficient knowledge of project management concepts such as PMBOK, Waterfall, Agile, and Prince.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Project or similar project management tools.
  • Capability to manage programs with multiple projects.
  • Experience in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements.
  • Intimate knowledge of phases of full life cycle development.
  • Proficient knowledge of analysis techniques, tool usage, and standards.
  • Knowledgeable with computer system concepts, including servers, storage, database, middleware, and networking.
  • Successful track record of effective resource management.
