About the position

The PMO is responsible for overseeing the company's project management practices for solutions and IT, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. This role involves coordinating and leading project teams, managing resources, developing project plans, and ensuring adherence to project management standards and methodologies. The PMO will also identify and mitigate project risks and communicate project status and progress to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire portfolio of technology projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic goals.
  • Prioritize and allocate resources to projects based on business needs and project importance.
  • Monitor project progress across the portfolio, identifying any potential issues or bottlenecks.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive project plans for all technology initiatives, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  • Coordinate and lead cross-functional project teams, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.
  • Manage the day-to-day execution of technology projects, ensuring adherence to project plans and timelines.
  • Identify potential risks and challenges across all technology projects, developing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all technology project-related communications with stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present regular project status reports, including progress updates, risks, and issues.
  • Ensure that all technology projects adhere to quality standards and comply with relevant regulations and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular project reviews and post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve project management processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that all technology projects are delivered within approved financial parameters.
  • Mentor and support project managers and team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Oversee daily technology operations, ensuring the reliability and performance of the company's technology infrastructure.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, service providers, and consultants to ensure the company's technology needs are met.

Requirements

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certified and/or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management / IT management or a similar role.
  • Proven track of project completion on-time, within budget, and project scope.
  • Experience in IT infrastructure planning, development, and operations.
  • Understanding of IT systems, networks, security protocols, and software applications.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with budgeting, vendor management, and contract negotiation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with IT project management tools and software.
  • Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies.
