About the position

The Project Manager (PMP) position is a remote role focused on leading organizational transformation projects for federal government clients. The role emphasizes service-oriented project management, requiring a PMP certification and extensive experience in managing complex projects. The Project Manager will oversee multiple task orders, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. This position is integral to fostering client relationships and driving team collaboration to achieve impactful results.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the project's budget, scope, schedule, and risks.
  • Serve as the lead for client relationship building and management.
  • Lead project teams in gathering client requirements and expectations for contract deliverables and work products.
  • Manage multiple, concurrent projects with different project teams, clients, stakeholders, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Perform team management, subcontractor management, and team building activities to drive collaboration, alignment, and service excellence in a matrixed environment.
  • Provide thought leadership and insights as well as written inputs for deliverables and work products.
  • Manage and/or contribute to the gathering, analyzing, synthesizing, structuring, visualizing, and reporting of data and information to provide findings, conclusions, and recommendations for studies, assessments, analyses, and strategies.
  • Identify and develop opportunities to provide additional services to help clients address organizational needs.
  • Develop project plans that identify key issues, problems, approaches, performance metrics and resources required.
  • Design processes to address identified problems.
  • Define and clearly communicate roles and responsibilities for project team members.
  • Establish team membership and negotiate time commitments and resource allocation.
  • Motivate team members and facilitate team meetings.
  • Onboard and integrate new project team members.
  • Act as liaison, problem solver, and facilitator.
  • Provide guidance to team on performance and productivity issues.
  • Lead and direct the work of others, ensuring completion of all project deliverables on time and with the highest quality.
  • Provide project management support for executive-level meetings, including agendas, logistics, facilitation, and meeting minutes.
  • Exhibit flexibility and resilience within both client organization and SRE.
  • Provide inputs for proposals, including identifying clarifying questions, assumptions, methodologies/approaches, the staffing mix, and level of effort.
  • Support internal projects, as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 10 years of experience in project management for federal government contracts.
  • Master's Degree and minimum of 8 years of experience in federal government contracts with established experience in a project management capacity.
  • PMP certification is required.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents.
  • Understanding of federal government contracts and their requirements, such as CPARS, acquisition life cycle, subcontract management, and DCAA compliant timekeeping.
  • Experience managing federal government contract types, BPAs, IDIQs, and various pricing structures.
  • Strong foundation in project management principles, processes, and methodology.
  • Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints.
  • Energetic, forward-thinking, and creative individual with high ethical standards.
  • Strategic visionary with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment, and strong operational focus.
  • Well-organized and self-directed individual who is politically savvy and a team player.
  • Intelligent and articulate individual with excellent communication skills.
  • Decisive individual with a big picture perspective and systems knowledge.
  • Excellent writing skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with PCs, MS Office, Adobe, Google Mail, Citrix ShareFile, and online meeting platforms such as Google Meet and Zoom.
