PCN is currently seeking Project Managers in the Washington DC area, specifically next to Union Station, to oversee medium to large complex physical security projects. The individual in this role will leverage advanced knowledge of security countermeasures, project management processes, and controls to achieve project objectives. This will involve planning and evaluating project activities with some indirect supervision from the Senior Program Manager. Regular analytical and metrics-based reporting to the department's Senior Management is a key aspect of this position. The Project Manager will coordinate multiple departments, vendors, and assets to ensure the timely and cost-effective execution of major scope milestones. Establishing collaborative partnerships among stakeholders is essential to enable effective scoping, financial, and resource decisions. The role requires identifying, documenting, and elevating cross-organizational and vendor-driven dependencies, and working with managers and peers across the organization to develop and implement appropriate dependency management processes. Additionally, the Project Manager will establish appropriate project governance structures and processes by engaging executive sponsors and key stakeholders to develop suitable thresholds and cadence for governance discussions. They will work with senior leaders to contribute relevant data to support annual planning activities and provide financial project performance and forecasting reports to senior executives and government regulators. Identifying and evaluating risks associated with project activities and working across the organization to establish and monitor mitigation plans is also crucial. The role includes spearheading evaluations of changes based on cost, schedule, risk, and scope impacts, as well as cross-functional dependencies. The Project Manager will ensure the appropriate packaging of relevant information to support project change and governance decision processes and will develop and maintain required project management artifacts in accordance with Client Project Management standards and applicable regulations. Finally, identifying efficiencies and presenting recommended improvement opportunities at various levels of management is expected.
