About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead the complete system implementation for a government modernization project. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing subsystems, managing requirements, ensuring the technical infrastructure is robust, and maintaining schedule adherence throughout the project lifecycle. This role requires a strong background in government systems deployment, with a particular emphasis on modernization efforts. The primary work site is the Rent Board's offices at 25 Van Ness Ave., San Francisco, CA. The role may require occasional travel within the city and interactions with various governmental departments. The contract duration for this position is from January 6, 2025, to December 31, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full implementation of a system modernization project, ensuring all subsystems are effectively integrated and operational.
• Manage project requirements, ensuring they align with stakeholder needs and government regulations.
• Oversee the technical infrastructure of the project, including hardware, software, and networking components.
• Ensure the project stays on schedule, managing timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
• Collaborate with government officials and other stakeholders to ensure the system meets all relevant accessibility and security requirements, particularly those specific to the City and County of San Francisco.
• Facilitate communication between technical teams, stakeholders, and end-users to ensure a seamless project execution.

Requirements

• Professional qualifications including relevant degrees, training, and certifications applicable to project management and system implementation.
• Proven experience in system modernization and deployment, particularly within government settings.
• Strong understanding of technical infrastructure and project management principles.
• Experience with cloud-based system deployment and long-term system support.
• Expertise in data migration and integration for government systems.
• Familiarity with the City and County of San Francisco's accessibility and security requirements.
