About the position

Eaton's Electrical Engineering & Services division is seeking a Project Manager for Power Systems Controls. This remote role involves managing and executing projects throughout their lifecycle, ensuring a smooth transition from quoting to execution. The Project Manager will work closely with the sales force, engineers, and team leaders to meet project objectives related to cost, quality, and schedule, while also developing tools and best practices for project management.

Responsibilities

• Manage the overall execution of projects supporting the sales force and engineering teams.
• Create and maintain project schedules for assigned projects.
• Coordinate with Team Leaders to assign engineering resources and provide performance feedback.
• Monitor, control, forecast, and report costs on assigned projects.
• Prepare and present project status information for stakeholders.
• Manage engineering responses to customer emergencies and warranty issues.
• Establish and manage contracts between Eaton and its customers & suppliers.
• Support proposal development for new business opportunities.
• Develop new project management processes, standards, and tools.
• Review customer specifications and issue change orders when necessary.
• Assist with order-entry and hand-off to PSC engineers.
• Document control and distribution to customers and suppliers.
• Develop and deliver training material within areas of expertise.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of project management experience, or a High School Diploma/GED with 10 years of relevant experience.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Experience with electrical power distribution systems and field services.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• PMP certification.
• Minimum 5 years' experience with automatic transfer schemes.
