About the position

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Project Manager to join our team in Kirkland, WA, to lead and work on various Project Management projects. This role is crucial as we continue to grow rapidly in the US, and it is an exciting time to be part of our mission to build a better world for our planet and its people. As a Project Manager, you will provide leadership for the project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones. You will have full project life cycle ownership, ensuring successful project delivery from initiation to the delivery of one or several initiatives simultaneously. Your responsibilities will include managing all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program aligns with and directly supports the business's strategic objectives. You will ensure that projects and programs proceed according to scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards. Setting and continually managing project and program expectations while delegating and managing deliverables with team members and stakeholders will be key to your success. You will also develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirement documentation, and presentations to various audiences, including project teams, sponsors, and key stakeholders. In this role, you will work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment, demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence. You will prepare estimates and detailed project plans for all phases of projects, manage day-to-day activities and resources, and chair project management meetings. Additionally, you will provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues, communicating across leadership. Understanding the interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs will be essential. You will monitor, track, and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies, and critical path deliverables. Coaching, mentoring, motivating, and supervising project and program teams while supporting a diverse and inclusive work environment will also be part of your responsibilities. Finally, you will research best practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmark data and use continuous improvement to achieve results. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years' relevant project management experience in the Power industry.
  • Minimum of 10 years' relevant/applicable industry experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Utility Scale PV projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • SCADA experience for PV plants preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with PV Solar plants equipment and systems.
  • Detailed knowledge of PVSyst for determining plant Performance ratio.
  • Good working knowledge of Substation design.
  • Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across, and down multiple levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence.
  • Excellent leadership, communication (written, verbal and presentation) and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands.
  • Technically competent with various software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), Microsoft Projects, ProjectWise.
