About the position
The Project Manager will oversee engineering support and company-level initiatives, focusing on project management and schedule development. This role requires expertise in Primavera and Cobra software, and involves working closely with stakeholders to operationalize policy decisions. The position is a full-time contract role with a pay range of $50 to $80 per hour, based in Newport News, VA.
Responsibilities
- Determine and define project scope and objectives.
- Predict resources needed to reach objectives.
- Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan.
- Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.
- Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution.
- Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed.
- Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement.
- Work throughout the Company to understand the implications of policy decisions and advise Sr Leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 4 years of project management experience.
- 2 years of high-level project management experience.
- 1 year of experience with Primavera P6 and Cobra software.
- Valid PMP certification.
