About the position

The Principal Project Manager at Constellation Energy is responsible for managing projects from initiation through to closeout, ensuring they meet cost, quality, schedule, and objectives. This role requires leadership of project teams and integration of multiple functional organizations, focusing on delivering clean, carbon-free energy solutions.

Responsibilities

• Manage the detailed scope, quality, performance, schedule, and budget of assigned projects according to Constellation Management Model procedures.
• Ensure proper use of project controls and perform required monthly reporting.
• Direct the Project Team and integrate all resources effectively.
• Oversee Contract Administration on contracts, ensuring proper project closeout and post-project critiques.
• Facilitate stakeholder review and buy-in of intermediate and final project deliverables.
• Communicate project status to NGG and site or corporate management for assigned projects.
• Develop, evaluate, and recommend contracted services and materials.
• Coach and mentor other project managers and cross-functional support personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or management discipline with 8+ years of experience in a related position, or 12 years of directly applicable industry experience with 6 years in project management.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in supervision or management of projects.
• PMP Certification (to be obtained within 18 months of starting position).
• Demonstrated leadership skills and strong communication abilities.
• Experience in project budgeting, cost tracking, and cost estimating.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's Degree in business, engineering, science, or a related field.
• Experience in plant operation and/or maintenance.
• Knowledge of contract management and/or Passport supply system.
• Ability to work in ambiguous situations with little direction.
